This section prepares future social media privacy information for TOTPX.
Last updated: 27 May 2026
This Social Media Privacy Information applies to TOTPX-related social media profiles, social login functions, external platform integrations, embedded social content and communication through external social media platforms.
This section supplements the General Privacy Information, Website Privacy Information and Web App Privacy Information where applicable.
TOTPX may operate profiles or pages on external social media platforms such as Facebook, GitHub, Microsoft-related services, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter or similar services.
When you visit such external platforms, the respective provider may process personal data according to its own privacy policies, terms and technical systems. TOTPX has limited influence over processing performed directly by the platform provider.
For certain social media functions, page analytics or interaction features, TOTPX and the relevant platform provider may be considered joint controllers under applicable data protection law.
Platform providers may process cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, interaction events, account data, usage data, page interactions and analytics information independently from TOTPX.
Where social media providers assume primary responsibility for platform-level processing, users may need to contact the provider directly regarding certain privacy-related requests.
If TOTPX operates Facebook pages or Facebook integrations, Facebook may process technical access data, interaction events, cookies, browser information, device information, account identifiers and usage-related metadata.
Facebook may also provide aggregated or anonymized analytics information, such as page interaction statistics or audience insights. Such information may help improve communication, support and content planning.
Further information regarding Facebook processing may be available in Facebook's own privacy and cookie policies.
If GitHub login or GitHub integrations are used, TOTPX may receive account-related information from GitHub according to the permissions granted by the user.
This may include GitHub account ID, display name, email address, organization membership information and authentication metadata.
GitHub remains independently responsible for its own platform processing and user account management.
If Microsoft login or Microsoft-related services are used, TOTPX may receive profile-related information, authentication data, account identifiers and technical metadata from Microsoft according to the granted permissions.
Microsoft remains responsible for its own platform infrastructure, account management and independent processing activities.
Social login functions may use OAuth or similar authorization technologies to authenticate users and link accounts.
Depending on the selected provider and permissions, TOTPX may process:
Users can generally revoke permissions through the settings of the respective provider account.
If users contact TOTPX through social media platforms, we may process usernames, profile names, message content, attachments, timestamps and communication history in order to respond to inquiries, support requests or partnership-related communication.
Communication through social media platforms should generally not be used for transmitting sensitive credentials, secrets, payment data or confidential integration information.
If users comment on posts, react to content, share posts or otherwise interact publicly with TOTPX social media profiles, such interactions may be visible to other users of the respective platform.
TOTPX may moderate comments, remove spam, report abuse or restrict access where necessary to protect users, discussions and platform integrity.
Social media providers may provide aggregated analytics information, audience statistics, demographic reports, interaction metrics or engagement-related insights.
Such information may include interaction counts, approximate geographic information, device categories, page activity statistics, audience segments and engagement metrics.
Where provided to TOTPX, this information is generally aggregated or anonymized and is used to improve communication, documentation, content quality and product-related outreach.
The TOTPX website or Web App may later include embedded content from external social media or media platforms, such as YouTube videos, GitHub widgets, LinkedIn content, X/Twitter embeds or similar elements.
If embedded content is loaded, the respective provider may process IP addresses, browser information, device information, cookies, interaction events and technical metadata.
Where legally required, embedded content may only be loaded after consent or after displaying an appropriate privacy notice.
Social media providers may use cookies, tracking technologies, pixels, SDKs or device identifiers when users interact with social media pages, embedded content or login functions.
TOTPX has limited influence over cookies or tracking technologies controlled directly by external providers. Users can review provider-specific cookie settings and browser controls to manage such technologies.
The TOTPX website and Web App may contain links to external social media profiles or external provider pages. Clicking such links may result in processing by the respective provider according to its own privacy policies and technical systems.
To protect social media accounts, communication channels and integrations, TOTPX may process login alerts, abuse indicators, spam detection events, suspicious interaction patterns and moderation-related metadata.
Social media providers may independently process additional security-related data according to their own security systems.
Social media providers may process data globally, including outside the European Union or European Economic Area. Such transfers may involve countries with different levels of data protection.
Where required under applicable law, providers may rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or other recognized transfer mechanisms.
Retention periods may depend on the relevant provider, communication context, legal requirements, security needs and platform functionality.
Users may revoke social login permissions, unlink accounts or remove connected applications through the settings of the respective provider account.
After revocation, some previously processed data may still need to be retained where legally required or necessary for security, audit or contractual reasons.
Users may have rights including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent where applicable.
Depending on the context, requests may need to be directed either to TOTPX or to the respective social media provider.
TOTPX may add additional social login providers, social platforms, developer communities or embedded content providers in the future.
This Social Media Privacy Information may be updated accordingly as integrations evolve.
TOTPX may update this Social Media Privacy Information if providers, integrations, legal requirements, tracking technologies or platform functionality change.
